"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning."
- Albert Einstein

Dear friends,

I am writing to you to introduce myself, to allow you to learn more about me. My name is Albert Einstein. I have studied physics and higher mathematics since I was in high school and enjoy it thoroughly. The quote above shows exhibits my job; I ask questions. I developed the fundamental equations and my ideas on the universe through simply asking questions and finding the solution. I discovered the Theory of Relativity and developed a formula relating energy and mass. These ideas went on to be more impactful than I anticipated. My love for asking questions is fired by my desire to understand the universe God created and understand Him. I do not believe in the illogical magical events documented in the Bible and I do not think God's interest are in man. I believe he simply has created our world as a puzzle for us to solve. I am a pacifist and a supporter of equality no matter a person's race, sex, or station in society. I have aided W.E.B. DuBois in his quest for equality in the U.S. and worked diligently to constrain the use of the atomic bomb. I hope that I will get to learn more about you all, and I will enjoy weighing in on issues presented to us through this forum.

Sincerely,

Albert Einstein

Greetings, I am William Shakespeare.

If thy does not know who I am, o, the shame thee shall feel! I have written perhaps the most recognizable plays in the history of thine Earth! Dost thou not know the wonders I have done for thy culture? If thy hath failed to delve into my awesome works, thy never shall fear. My plays art most available in thy world. Romeo and Juliet, 'tis my most famous. Aside from that, I hath written Hamlet, Othello, Julius Ceasar, and Macbeth. I am a mysterious man, and there is little information on my social and personal life. 'Tis only my works and church documents that give thee a glimpse into my life. I hope thou will better know my ideas and opinions in the coming days, as well as my better knowing thyself.

Signed,

Shakespeare

"My principles are more important than the money or my title." -Muhammad Ali

I am Muhammad Ali. I was a famous boxer, with several great achievements. But, as the quote says above, my principles are more important. Despite my job of fighting, I like to support peace and friendship. In 2002, I traveled to Afghanistan as a United Nations Messenger of Peace and support many charities (many of which are named after me). I was also an outspoken opponent of the Vietnam War. I refused to join the Vietnam War after citing my religious beliefs, so I was put in jail for draft evasion for three years. When I finally got back into the ring, I went right back to being the champ. I retook my title just as easily as I lost it. I am also an outspoken opponent against segregation. When I came back to America after winning the gold medal, I went into this restaurant. They refused to serve me because it was a "white only" restaurant, so I threw my gold medal in the Ohio River in disgust. So, despite my many achievements, I hold my principles first.

"No matter what happens in life, be good to people. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind."

- Taylor Swift (a.k.a me)

Dear my lovelies,

I know that we're embarking on a trip on this ship together. So, I would absolutely love to have you all as my friends! It would probably be a good idea to introduce myself first though. I'm Taylor Swift. I'm a platinum-selling artist who's currently only 26 years old. I try to stay humble about the fact that I'm a ten-time GRAMMY winner and that I'm the youngest, and only woman, in history to be a receiver of the GRAMMY Award for Album of the Year. Not only that, but I won that award, twice. I've also been named Billboard Magazine's Woman of the Year and one of Time Magazine's Most Influential People in the World. All the fame may be awesome and everything, but being able to give back to charity all while making it my job to inspire and spread positivity is 100% worth while because of all the happy, joyful faces I see light up everyday. I love dancing, although I may not be the best, and I'm one of the world's greatest ambassadors for the message of just being yourself. I'm also a really loyal friend who will not hesitate to protect the ones close to me or my own heart, for the matter of fact. Although I have received so many awards and titles that I'm very, very grateful for, I still manage to stay down to Earth. My cats are kind of the loves of my life, and I'm definitely not afraid to express that. Don't get me wrong though. I'm not a crazy cat lady. Trust me. I'm not. Anyways, I hope that we can all form fantastically close relationships with each other, like I stated before!

Love,

Taylor Swift

"I don't make music for eyes. I make music for ears."

Hello, its me, Adele

I am an British artist who has sold over 8 million copies on my album "25". My quote is supposed to say that I make songs for you to hear, not for you to look at me and judge my weight. As i always say... "I like having my hair and face done, but I'm not going to lose weight because someone tells me to. I make music to be a musician not to be on the cover of Playboy." My biggest single was my personal favorite... "Hello". It sold over 1 million copies in a week. I started singing when i was 4. It stared as I grew closer to my mom, who encourage me "to explore, and not to stick with one thing" I hope you take from my opinions and ideas these next couple days. Thank You.

"Equal we stand as Biology students in Mrs. Paes' class!'

               Hello everyone,

I am Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United states. I lived during a time of treachery and hardships. People were separate and treated as unequal. I unfortunately didn't live to see everyone get along. I was able to withstand the hate as I feel for the victims of racism and discrimination. The people in my country were turning to violence and hate. The south had become chaos in its self. How horrible. I was hated by millions of people. I even received threats on my life. I fought through it though. I lived the a great war. A war in my own country. I ended the war by emancipating slaves across America and having a wonderful military to fight against what I did not support.I unfortunately was assassinated in Virginia shortly after the war. I accomplished many things and my opinion has seemed to be winning the support of millions of people. I hope to get to learn about everyone that i haven't met during war time. Hopefully you can to support m

"Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less."-Marie Curie

Dear shipmates,

I'm writing to you today to let you know about one of your fellow shipmates. I was born in Poland in 1867. I was 21 when I moved to study physics and chemistry at the University of Paris. I met my husband in 1903 and we both got a Nobel Prize physics. I was so proud of myself, because I was the first women to win a Nobel Prize. It was only eight years later when I won my second Nobel prize in physics and became the only person to when a Nobel prize in two sciences. I also developed the theory of radioactivity, which talks about techniques for isolating radioactive isotopes and discovered two new elements, polonium and radium. I also founded the Curie institutes in Paris and Warsaw, which are major medical research centers. I have always had a strong sense of pride for my home land of Poland,  that's why I named the first element I discovered after the country and made sure my two daughters knew polish. I think this is enough information about me, if you want to know more just look me up.

Sincerely,

Marie Curie

Lucille-Ball-lucille-ball-34541172-1280-1542.jpg

I would rather regret the things that I have done than the things that I have not.

Hi everyone! It's me, Lucille ball!

I am a 1950's comedic actress. You've probably seen me in my show "I Love Lucy", a sitcom that touched on some of the new ways of life that were happening like marital issues, women in the workplace, and suburban living. It was totally neat-o! I co-starred with my husband, Desi Arnaz, for six years. We owned the production company, Desilu Productions, which produced the show. One of the most popular episodes was when the show's theme was pregnancy and I gave birth to Little Ricky! This was the same day that I delivered my second child, Desi Jr., in real life! After "I Love Lucy" ended, Desilu Productions continued to produce movies like "The Untouchables", "Star Trek", and "Mission: Impossible". Later, Arnaz and I divorced and I remarried the comedian, Gary Morton. I then bought out my former husband and took over Desilu Productions. I was the first women to run a major television production studio! Later, I starred in a pair of sitcoms known as "The Lucy Show" and "Here's Lucy." In 1971, I became the first woman to receive the International Radio and Television Society's Gold Medal. In addition, I won four Emmys, received induction into the Television Hall of Fame, and received recognition for my life's work from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. I felt honored! Later, I strayed from comedy and took on the dramatic role of a homeless person in the movie "Stone Pillow." Most people wanted me to return to comedy, so I came out with a new sitcom "Living with Lucy" which only lasted 8 episodes. I look forward to sharing my thoughts and ideas on the upcoming posts with you guys!

Love,

Lucy

       Hello,

It is nice meeting you, but I must act swiftly for I am on a mission to help humanity. I am Malcolm X, or originally named Malcolm Little. I changed my last name to X because Little for such a determined civil rights  fighter would be simply looked down upon. I am not just an ordinary civil rights activist like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I actually fight for my rights instead of simply waiting and walking around the country hoping for a change to suddenly appear. I was put on this Earth to bring an immediate change for the people of America. I promise the key to that is to fight, not by using nonviolence. Nonviolence will lead to nowhere. It will simply allow more time to pass by until every person has equal rights in our country. Only violence will bring the dream of equal rights we have always wanted into our lives in the shortest amount of time. I was also a minister and national spokesman for the Nation of Islam and I am largely credited for increasing its membership. However, I had many confrontations with my mentor and leader Elijah Muhammad. I ended up creating my own organization: Muslim Mosque, Inc. My religion is very important to me and has helped me make great decisions in my life.

"I am for violence if non-violence means we continue postponing a solution to the American black man's problem just to avoid violence."-Malcolm X

With much passion

Hidden talent counts for nothing.

Hello! You want me to tell you about myself? My pleasure! I probably would have anyways so this works out great. My mother Agrippina, a sister of Caligula, was exiled when I was two but later accepted back when Claudius took the throne. The two were wed and she persuaded him to adopt me, placing me as the new heir. As a child, I was tutored by many great philosophers, multiple of which were freed slaves. This later contributed for my contributions to slaves and those of lower class while emperor. When Caligula was killed *cough cough* sorry, when Caligula passed, I was not yet even 17 years of age. This resulted in my mother largely dominating my ruling before my official crowning and even to my dismay, after as well. At 17 however, I became the youngest Emperor at that time. My reign went pretty well until I had found that my mother was plotting against me. Then I was forced to have her... removed. I loved the Greek culture and art and became a wonderful performer. One of the best in my opinion (not so much in others, though...) I held large and elaborate performances to demonstrate my musical talent and even though such a thing was seen as unsavory, everyone would gather to see me. Mostly because they couldn't deny an invitation or else be faced with treason. But, the details aren't important. People say I "fiddled when Rome burned" but honestly I'm not even quite sure what a fiddle is. Also (according to the rumors) I sang beautifully atop the palace rooftops, not fiddled. Of course, I was then blamed for the fire after later building a large palace amongst the ruins. But honestly, it was all the Christians fault. They're the ones to blame. It all went downhill after that however when even some of my most trusted guards decided to rebel against me.

“I am the punishment of God...If you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you.”

To my endeared servants aboard the HMS Regal,

I expect you to know me, the great Genghis Khan, ruler of the largest land empire history has ever seen. While I am aboard the ship, I expect you to behave seemly, like my subjects. In my empire, I am the punishment sent by God to you. When you have wronged me in any way, I will gladly dispatch you at my disposition. In my kingdom, wronging me is like wronging God. After all, I am the 'universal ruler,' as my name implies.

I have quite a history being bloodthirsty. In order to take over my tribe, I murdered my older half brother. From there, I started my military campaign that would encompass most of the known world. I started with the steppe tribes. I would attack, kill their leaders, and accumulate more land, people, and power. I led several major conquests in Asia and Europe, and I even conquered Russia in the dead of winter. These great accomplishments are why we Mongols are considered the exception! My empire grew and grew with the more blood that was spilt. I reduced the world's population by eleven percent during all of these campaigns.

Although you may be grimacing at my wonderful accomplishments, I have done many things that you may consider to be 'good.' I knew that by keeping my citizens happy, they would be much less likely to revolt. I declared religious freedom for all people, and I made their sacred places tax-exempt. I also established the first international postal system that could carry mail 200 miles in one day. Forget the Pony Express in America. I was implementing the exact same strategy hundreds of years before them!

Some restrictions I would like you to know must be followed flawlessly. I have never had a painting or a sculpture of me, and I do not intend to anytime soon. Yes, passengers from more modern times, that includes photography. Also, I would like you to know that although I am an animist, I freely accept other religions, as I have mentioned in the above paragraph. Additionally, and this is the most important of all, please do not ask me how I died or where I was buried. It is a rude question regardless, and I have no intention of giving that away. I even had everybody who attended the ceremony killed, along with having horses trample over my grave to hide its existence.

So, my humble servants, I hope we can have a delightful time together on the HMS Regal!

"It's kind of fun to do the impossible.

Hello everyone,

My name is Walter Elias Disney, but you can call me Walt. I am known as the master of motion picture animation, creating films such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Mary Poppins, and Fantasia, but you probably know me as the creator of the legendary Mickey Mouse character. At the start I was the voice of Mickey and continued to perform until 1947. Although I created many other characters for my animations, Mickey, remained the all-time favorite. Between 1928 and 1940 Mickey starred in 110 cartoons. Throughout my career I won more than 100 prizes for my films, which included 29 Academy Awards. I opened a large themed amusement park called, Disneyland in Anaheim, California in 1955 where we recently celebrated the 60th anniversary of its opening. Later on in my life I was diagnosed with lung cancer. But to show that something good can come out of something bad, Walt Disney World, near Orlando, Florida opened five years after my death. I look forward to getting to know you all and to see your views on topics, values, ideas. Have a magical day!

                                                                                                                                                Sincerely,

                                                                                                                                                              Walt Disney

“Truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it ain't going away.”

Shipmates,

My name is Elvis Presley. I am known as a classic 'rags to riches' story, because I was born into a not so well off family in 1935, but later became one of Hollywood's highest paid actors. I am well known with the ladies for my hip dance moves and original style of music. One thing I am not known for is my major charity donations. I often hold benefit concerts specifically done to raise money for charities of my choice. In 1961, I raised $65,000 for the U.S.S Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor. In 1973, I raised $75,000 for the Kui Lee Cancer Fund in Hawaii. In fact, I am still continuing my work through the Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation. With all this money constantly being thrown at me, how could I not give some of it away? More than 1 Billion of my records have been sold worldwide, more than anyone in record industry history. I have starred in 31 feature films as an actor, but am more well known for my music. 18 of my songs have reached number 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 Pop Chart in America. In 1993, U.S. Postal Service announced my image would be used on a Postage stamp.

Thank you, thank you very much,

The King Of Rock and Roll

"Quality means doing it right when no one is looking." — Henry Ford

Greetings to all the people who decided to put there mind into work, my name is Henry Ford. I was born on July 30th, 1863 on my family's farm in Wayne County, near Dearborn, Michigan. When I was 13 years of age, my father gifted me with a pocket watch in which I took apart and reassembled.  When I was at the age of 16, I left my home to take an apprenticeship as a machinist in Detroit. In 1888, I married my beloved wife Clara Ala Byrant and returned to my farm to support my wife and my beautiful son Edsel. I have developed and constructed my horseless carriage called the Ford Quadricycle.  I established the Ford Motor Company in 1903 , in which I introduced the Model T car in 1908 which was simple to drive and easy to repair. I am a an ardent pacifist and I even opposed World War l. I am a committed anti-Semite, meaning I discriminated Jews. Even though I have done a lot in the years, I was considered one of America's leading business men.

"Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun."

Hello peasants of the world,

My name is Mao Zedong. If you haven't heard of me, I'm surprised. I basically made it so that during my reign, my face was plastered on every building in China so you can avoid the dark life where you wouldn't know who I am. At the height of my fame, I was best known for being the leader of the Chinese Communist Party, and with the help of my advisors, led China through the glorious Communist revolution. I was a devoted Marxist and I made sure that anyone didn't agree with my ideals would pay. I'm not fazed by death. I killed thousands in order to instill my beliefs into the people of my nation, but it was the only way I could truly establish authority. Many world leaders criticized me saying I was a "ruthless dictator" or something like that. I couldn't care less though. I think I'm the only ruler in history who truly learned how to govern the right way. Anyways, what does it matter? The only opinion that matters to me is my own (and occasionally those of my advisors).

Until next time,

Mao Zedong

“Fiction is like a spider's web, attached ever so slightly perhaps, but still attached to life at all four corners. Often the attachment is scarcely perceptible.”
- Virginia Woolf

Hello everyone aboard!

My name is Adeline Virginia Woolf, but most call me only Virginia Woolf. I was born in  Kensington, London, United Kingdom on January 25, 1882. I am a fairly well- known author; my first book was published in 1915. I have had 21 books published, the first of which was called Voyage Out. I like to think that I am fairly popular, as my books are sold with success. I like to have unusual, dreamlike perspectives and weave them with tense plot lines, which is what I acclaim my success to. Overall, my writing has brought me great success, and I enjoy a good life for it.

During my time on this Earth, I suffered a traumatic childhood. Up until the age of 6, I was happy. Then, two of my half-brothers abused me, and I was darkened. My mother then died, and one sister soon after, worsening my mental state. Despite this, I took three languages (Greek, Latin, and German at the Ladies’ Department of King’s College London. It was here I realized how unfair the world was, and how women were just as good as men.

I always walked on the edge of a knife. My life was in a delicate balance between literary expression and personal desolation ever since my father died. I was actually institutionalized at that point (what heathens). I was told I had horrible mood swings, and suffered from phases of depression. I never really knew why.

I eventually married Leonard Woolf, the love of my life.

Pleasure speaking with you! Until next time,

 Virginia Woolf

Hello all,

I am Harry Houdini. It is likely that you have heard of me, as I'm considered one of the most famous magicians of all time. Every since I was a young boy, I have been fascinated by magic. In 1894, I set out to make something of myself and launched my career as a professional magician. Originally, I was Ehrich Weiss, but I renamed myself as Harry Houdini for this purpose. Despite my magic not being very successful, I soon found attention for my escaping feats using handcuffs. As my acts became more difficult and elaborate, I gained more fame. The hallmark of my career was the Chinese Water Torture Cell, which remained in my acts for several years. I was able to perform these acts partially because of my uncanny strength and bizarre ability to pick any lock, but I'm afraid I cannot reveal anymore. Aviation, film, and literature were also some of my passions. I became president not only of Martinka & Co. (America's oldest magic company), but also of the Society of American Magicians, in which I campaigned against illicit psychic mediums.

Well, this was a delightful meeting. Until next time,

Harry Houdini.

Hello everybody, my name is Steven Spielberg. It is quite a possibility that you have heard of me. If not, you have probably watched some of the movies I have directed, regardless of age, for I have been producing movies for quite a while now. Some of my more popular works include Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Schindler's List, and Jaws. Ring any bells? Movie-making has always been a passion of mine. I have worked my way up through the ladder over the years through my numerous movie productions. Now, I am lucky enough to say I really do dream for a living. It is the best possible job I could ever think of having. Personally, I have taken a certain interest into making impactful movies focusing on humanistic issues, though I still continue to produce movies of diverse genres. I have won Academy Awards for Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan. Also, three of my movies have set box-office records. Currently, I am working on multiple possible movies as either producer or executive producer. It is my hope to continue movie directing for as long as I can, because I never seem to run out of energy when working on a movie.

                Hello my friends,

My name is Winston Churchill. I am known for leading the United Kingdom against the Axis powers of World War Two, and bringing the Allied powers from the brink of defeat to victory. I am also considered a great author as well as a speaker. With my speeches, I was able to lift the spirits of my people and boost morale within my nation. I started out in the military, and had a short career in the Army. In my early political career I was very adamant about modernizing and expanding the Navy as well as the Air Force. Once I became Prime Minister in 1940, I immediately went to action forming alliance with the United States and the Soviet Union, and kept my peoples' hopes and morale alive during these trying times. I was good friends with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Britain got goods and supplies from the US prior to their entrance into the war because of it. My allies and I created a united strategy to rival the Nazis and victory came eventually. Unfortunately, after the war I was defeated  in the general election, but was made Prime Minster once again in 1951. In 1953, I was even knighted by Queen Elizabeth II. I look forward to providing my viewpoint on these controversial topics these next few days, and I hope that you can learn something from what I will say.

                                                                                                                                                                                            Sincerely,

                                                                                                                                                 Winston Churchill

Hello,

Let me introduce myself before we begin on our voyage shipmates. I am Roger Federer and I am not trying to sound conceited or anything, but I am one of the best tennis players in the history of tennis. I have won a total of 17 Grand Slam singles titles which is my most significant record. I am the first Swiss international to win a Grand Slam singles title. I have held the number 1 rank from 2004- 2008 and some of '09, '10, and '12. Due to my titles in the years 2005-2008, I have won the Laureus World Sportman of the year in each of those four years. During this four year period, I won the Wimbledon(x2), Australian Open, and the U.S. Open(x3). I must say that this was probably the most successful period of my entire career. From 2008, I kept winning titles ,but fewer then during my younger ages. I must say that competition has been higher than ever before with the arrival of Novak, Andy, Nadal, and many others all coming to peaks in there careers. However, even if times get tough I continue to enjoy and love the game. I hope to get to know all of you soon and I look forward to talking to everyone as well.

                                                    Sincerely,

                                                                   Roger Federer

"The World will not accept dictatorship or domination"

Greetings from the Motherland!, I am Mikhail Gorbachev,

My name has been but forgotten, but my doings are very much alive in this world today. I was born March 2nd, 1931, of a Russian peasant family. We lived in Privolye, Stavropod Kray, where I lived my childhood. In 1952, i attended a university in Moskva and graduated in 1955. From there, I began to work my way up before finally joining the Soviet Communist party in 1971. For some time now, The Soviet economy had been in stagnation, and even decline; we just werent making as much money as western nations. This would be the platform for my rise to power, fixing the soviet economy. In 1985, I became the 8th, and least, General secretary of the communist party or "premiere". I quickly began the rapid modernization of the soviet economy giving new technologies like computers to the public, but with these new technologies in civil hands came another problem. As information spread quickly with computers, people in our country began to learn of our terrible doings and began to rebel, couple this with the disastrous war in Afghanistan. Western leaders like Ronald Regan began calling upon me to end the cold war "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall."-Ronald Regan. It was then I implemented what I am best known for, Glasnost. Meaning openness, it began to democratize the socialist states of and not soon after, The berlin wall fell and with it, The Iron Curtain. With the dissolution of the Soviet Union, came with the dissolution of the communist party and me with it. I was given the Nobel peace prize in 1990 for my actions in ending the cold war but not soon after democratization, another dictator came into power over Russia.

Sincerely,

MIKHAIL GORBACHEV

" I'm only human, and therefore, there's a part of me that's waiting for people to say, 'Enough of you!' "

Dear Others,

Since we are going on this trip for who knows who long together, I think it's best that we get to know each other. I'm Jim Parsons, but better know as Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory. Ever since I can remember I have always tried to put on plays and skits for my older sister and my parents in our house in Houston, Texas. I produced plays in high school and in college. By doing that, it helped me when am acting today. My role on the Big Bang has changed my life. But I'm so glad to go on this trip with all of you and can't wait to get to know all of you too!

~Jim Parsons
P.S. My birthday is March 24, 1973 and I will be turning 43, but you don't have to get me anything if you don't want.

"If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world"

Dear Companions,

I would like to introduce myself, John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, to all of you as soon we are to embark on an adventure. I was born on January 3, 1892 in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Though my father died soon after I was three and though my family's pocketbook began to shrink my mind ever grew. I attended King Edward's School in Birmingham and there I excelled at classical and modern languages. In fact at the college I attended Exeter College in Oxford I studied Classics, Old English, Germanic languages, Welsh and Finnish, you see I have a passion for languages and even began to create some of my own. However by the time I had completed my degree in Oxford World War One had erupted across Europe and I enlisted and was commissioned in the Lancashir Fusiliers. Before I was shipped out to war I married Edith Bratt, the love of my life. There in that horrible war I understood the cost of war, and I learned the horrors of war. Almost all of my closest friends died and for me the world grew dark. Later these experiences helped me write many of the wars in book "The Lord of the Rings" and understand what power and gold to to men, and how sometimes the simple things like dance and song matter most, and how the smallest of people can change the course of the world. I helped to draft the Oxford dictionary and I began to create the tales that shaped Middle Earth, the world my legends are set in. Middle Earth in a way is similar to our own dear Earth, as the Ring in my books represented power, my creature Gollum represented corruption and all the people who keep the darkness at bay through simple acts of love and kindness were represented by hobbits.I published my first book "the Hobbit" or "There and Back Again" in 1937. "The Hobbit" was a tale of a hobbit(a short and rather wide, hairy footed creature) Bilbo Baggins who was swept into an adventure by a wizard, Gandalf the Grey, and a company of dwarves who mean to defeat a dragon and reclaim their homeland. "The Hobbit" was much more lighthearted then my book "The Lord of the Rings", which I published in several parts through 1954-1955. "The Lord of the Rings" was much more grim than "The Hobbit" as the fate of the world depended on a powerful Ring and its bearer Frodo Baggins who must destroy it forever. I wrote several other noteworthy books including "The Silmarrillion," "The Book of Lost Tales" and "The Children of Hurin."

May your road always lead you home,

Your hobbit J.R.R Tolkien

Greetings fellow shipmates!

It is I, your noble King. I am King Henry the eighth of England, and the United Kingdom. I am well-known for having six wives, but I only beheaded two of them. They both committed adultery, after all. What was I supposed to do? None except my dear Jane Seymour, my true wife, bore me any sons. My dear Edward would succeed my throne. Additionally, I did other things with my life. For example, I declared myself supreme head of the Church of England in 1534. Now, of course I could divorce my wives instead of behead them because I was the head of my own religion. My reign was a peaceful one; the only major event was the Pilgrimage of Grace, which was hardly a pilgrimage at all. It was a rebellion against MY rule, if can you believe that. I suppose they didn’t want me to be the head of a religion and all that… Of course I beheaded all the leaders of that nasty point in history, quite thoroughly too I might add. But, fellow shipmates, I know that you all will not have an uprising like those peasants! You are the best of people and I hope to have the greatest of voyages with you!

 Until next time,

Hello there,

I am Theodore Suess Geisel, you have probably read all of my children's books by the time you were eight. My name has been a very common household name for many years now, and I hope I can explain to you how I've gotten to my fame.

I was born on March the second 1904, in Springfield Massachusetts. I attended Dartmouth, and Oxford Universities.

I was one of the most well-known illustrators and authors of my time, and probably yours too. I have won many awards for my number of accomplishments, and I have been criticized for my books. I created a movie about an animated trainee named Private Snafu, who helped me win an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. I was a cartoonist and started out by making advertising campaigns for a well-known company called Standard Oil. I have published 46 different stories, and from making all of these family books, I have won a total of two Academy Awards, two Emmy awards, a Peabody award, and of course the Pulitzer prize. Just a few of my children's books are titled "Cat in the Hat" (which I wrote with only the available use of 220 words), "Green eggs and ham," "The Lorax," "Oh the Places You'll go," and many many more that you may have collecting dust on your bookshelf. I hope that you and your fellow peers will continue to pass my legacy on to your children, so that my books can live on for me.

Sincerely,

Theodore Suess Geisel

MTE4MDAzNDEwNTQxMTg0NTI2.jpg " A Life of a single human being is worth a million times more than all the property of the richest man on earth..."

Dear my fellow sisters and brothers that have risen from the abyss of confusion, and are now idolized through mankind's eyes for not what you did, but what others made of it,

I, as a fellow proletariat, have been, not born, but erected from the sands and waters of Rosario, Argentina and raised as a naive child by the name of Ernesto Guevara de la Serna. As a youngster, I dreamed of becoming a doctor, not because I had passion in this subject, but because I was brainwashed into the ideology that expressed gaining monetary wealth was the goal of life, not to live as one would desire in his soul, or what was left of it. I traveled my land (South America) only to witness the mass gatherings of the struggling all over our land. This corruption was caused by the mindless imperialism of the "Greater Man" as they valued, not the moral, but monetary value to life. This void to help the struggling had sparked something that I could not point out but carried on to throughout my humble life that some might revere as a legacy or method of destruction. However, when the US Government opposed the ongoing leftist social revolution that was going to take place in Guatemala, I knew that these puppets would never support true social justice. It was then I decided to look up to the great Karl Marx and adapt his teachings into my everyday life. Not only did I witness the mindless indoctrination of my people across this land by the capitalist-hungry pigs, I had met my friend, Fidel and... uhhh... Raul, and it was at this moment that I knew that I had to evolve the current state of Cuba under the imperialistic rule of Fugencio Batista. We marched onto the field, not cowering in their paths, and formed a resistance larger than any other before. Not long after we took over Havana, I established myself as one for the people and, with Fidel, I expounded a new system that outlined one's work as for the good of society, rather than personal profit. After years of working with the people in the labor programs, I traveled to the heart of America which was filled with constant bombardment of capitalistic ideals, to ban the impediment of the US into Cuban affairs. My heart  no longer stayed in Cuba, and I resigned as I worked for the common people of the world and not just one country. After leaving, I went on a voyage to the Zaire and fought for socialist evolution. With that, I traveled to Bolivia, as I cut my hair and beard to remain incognito, and my last battle was fought on October 8, 1967. I don't remember quite how it happened but that's is not what matters in the world, as I am one man in a sea of millions of birds, ready to fly at any moment. My job has not ended, in fact, it has just begun my friends.

Sincerely,

CHE

"Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me. Going to bed at night saying we've done something wonderful, that's what matters to me."

-Steve Jobs (me)

Dear Apple users (hopefully),

I am Steve Jobs, the creator of the profound company Apple. I am the creator of the device you are using right now to read this (again hopefully). I started Apple in 1976 with my best friend Steve Wozniak in a garage in Cupertino, California. Also, I didn't go to college either. I went to classes at Reed College for about two years, but I decided I didn't need that, and look where I am now! When I was born I was put up for adoption and my parents (now) adopted me very quickly. I was raised Lutheran, but now I am Zen Buddhist. I was married to my wife Laurene Powell for 20 years until I died in 2011 from Pancreatic Cancer. But my legacy is still able to live on through all the new Apple devices being created now. Another thing you might find interesting about me is that I was fired from the company I started in 1985. But, they couldn't do it without me so they took my back as CEO of Apple in 1997. I didn't just start Apple, I also bought Pixar from Lucasfilms in 1985 for $5 million. Eventually I also became the CEO of Pixar, so I was the CEO of both Apple and Pixar at one point! Boy, did I have a crazy life!

Sincerely,

Steve JobsApple-Logo-rainbow.png

Hello! My name is David Boone and i am currently a student at Harvard University. Along with continuing my studies and working at Microsoft, i travel to schools to teach students about the importance of education and keeping their determination even through the toughest of times. As a fourteen year old, i lost my home and was separated from my family after repeated drive-by shootings of my house. Even though i was forced to survive on the streets on my own, i continued focusing on my schoolwork and keeping my grades from slipping, which eventually paid off. I was accepted to twenty top colleges, and eventually decided on attending Harvard to become an engineer. Now i am part of the program 'Minds Matter' and continue to inspire children and young adults struggling with their education.

My name is Anne Frank. I come from a Jewish family who lived in Franfurt, Germany. We then had to move to Amsterdam because our hometown got taken over by the nazis. We went into hiding in an annex for a little bit over 2 years. Somebody then told the Gestapo about our hiding place, and we were taken to a concentration camp where everybody except my father, Otto Frank, died. During the period of hiding, I kept a diary and weote just about everything in it. It was published and is now a lesson to everybody about the terrible times of WWII. Something that helped me through this tough time was remembering that "Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart."
